Quicksilver Boats Wins Best of Boats Award for the Second Consecutive Year

Quicksilver Boats, a division of Brunswick Corporation (NYSE: BC) was honored at the largest annual awards for motorboats in Europe winning the “Best of Boats” award for the second consecutive year. Of the hundreds of boats tested and 17 finalists represented, the Quicksilver Pilothouse 705 was the award winner for the “Best in Fishing” category.

“On behalf of the entire Quicksilver team, we are honored to once again receive the prestigious Best of Boats award,” said Sylvain Perret, Product Portfolio and Media Relations Manager - European Venture Group, Brunswick Boat Group. “The Pilothouse 705 is the newest model to join our popular Pilothouse model lineup, and we’re thrilled the international jury recognized the level of detail and attention from our team to create the ideal vessel for the novice and advanced anglers alike. We thank the jury for this important recognition and commend our team for this well-deserved honor.”

Established in 2014, the Best of Boats Award was launched by boat journalists from many countries and different editorial offices representing the largest annual award for motorboats in Europe, assuming the number of participating countries, magazines, and boat tests. As the only motorboat award worldwide, the BOB Award is focused on the boaters’ point of view with all categories defined by real-life use cases and correspond to target groups, not to boat lengths.

Judges for the award said, “The Quicksilver 705 Pilothouse is a new, larger version of the 2020 Best of Boats Award winning Pilothouse boat from Quicksilver. As the only closed fishing boat in the Best of Boats Award 2021, the GRP construction follows the trend of a hybrid boat. In this case, hybrid means multifunctional – usable for fishing at sea, but also as a small family boat for weekend trips with the little ones.”

The ceremony of the Best of Boats Award was held in Berlin at the Boat & Fun Berlin boat show. The awards consist of six motorboat-only categories: best for beginners, best for family, best for fun, best for fishing, best for travel and best for future.
